The Work of the Holy Spirit in Filling.

Definition: The empowerment which the HS gives to a person for the purpose of ministry. Ministry is any work that we do to the Lord or for the Lord. This idea of filling is found throughout the book of Acts. Acts 1:8 empowerment through filling Acts 2:1-4 filled with the HS It takes place along with Indwelling, Acts 4:31-32 Acts 10:44-48 filling along with Indwelling Acts 13:9 indwelling occurs in chapter 9, here now we have filling

1. Being filled with the HS is not new to the New Covenant. It also happens under the Old Covenant.
2. Being filled with the HS is something Christians must and should seek to be effective for Christ.
3. Being filled with the HS is something Christians must and should seek as that which characterizes our life.
