The Doctrine Of Baptism
1. Baptism is an external sign expressing that persons wholehearted belief in, embrace of, and submission to what they are being baptized into.
2. Christian baptism is immediately appropriate the moment a person demonstrates understanding of the Gospel message/demands and communicates their willingness to believe, embrace, and submit to it.
3. Christian baptism is our entrance into the external covenant community of the church.
4. Christian baptism does not confer or guarantee salvation or promise that we won’t have to do it again.
